PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To provide guidance and assistance to the finance department in the processing and reconciliation of monthly financial information on the statement of comprehensive income. To ensure accuracy, completeness, and validity of data. Ensure compliance with VAT.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform GL reconciliations as per TB of all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Compile and check the completeness and accuracy of the reconciliations and submit the file to the Senior Financial Accountant .
• Perform monthly/ Daily journals .
• Prepare Social Security Commission payments – annually.
• Prepare VAT summary to different Vendors
• Review the monthly Creditors reconciliations.
• Submit Insurance claims
• Prepare statutory payments as required
• Check that PAYE is paid timeously

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s Degree OR 3-year Diploma in Accounting.
• 3 years’ experience in general Accounting
• MS Office with an Accounting Program (Pastel) .
• SAP R/3 (Finance) an added advantage .
