Unik Construction Engineering Namibia (Pty) Ltd, registered in 2013, located at 26 Rensburger Street, Lafrenz, Windhoek, specializes in larger scale projects ranging from road and bridge construction, water and sewer services, residential, commercial, industrial buildings and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, ESMP, NSMPs, and Employer requirements on site.
• Monitor and enforce environmental management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental impact assessments.
• Identify environmental risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Promote environmental awareness and compliance among site staff and contractors.
• Prepare environmental reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the Site Agent and project team to resolve environmental issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar Environmental Control Officer role.
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably Namibia.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance standards.
• Experience implementing ESMP and related environmental management frameworks.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory).
