Introduction to the job:

Do you want to build on some of the most amazing machines that you will ever see? Do you like hands-on working, and are you already a car mechanic, aerospace engineer or technician with a similar background then this job fits you well. As a Technician for EUV, you’ll work on our latest lithography machines that are used to produce microchips. You will be cross trained on multiple activities within our unique cleanroom factory.

Role and responsibilities:

• Whilst working as a Technician Extreme Ultraviolet you will focus on assembling, adjusting, qualifying and delivering our latest lithography machines. These machines are called ‘EXE’ systems, which is short for Extended EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet). Our department as a whole is responsible for the build, qualification, de-assemble and install of the complete EXE systems, which started producing in April 2021.

As a Technician Extreme Ultraviolet, you.:

• Build, install, align and disassemble components and modules working in multidisciplinary teams;
• Work according to agreed specifications and delivery times;
• Provide support during the introduction of the new EXE products (into the production process), whist laying down product, process and measuring data in protocols and databases;
• Closely cooperate with various disciplines, maintaining the planned delivery times and quality, identifying/reporting bottlenecks and escalating (technical) issues with the aim of structurally resolving them;
• Encourage and promote a safe working environment and follow the 5S+1 principles;
• Actively seek to implement and improve a Lean manufacturing environment within the factory, with the mindset to continuously improve factory processes and your own way of working.

Education and experience:

To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you have:

• A technical national diploma (vocational / associate), we are hiring bachelors for this hands-on vacancy;
• Preferably assembly and qualification experience e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, electronics or automotive engineering.

Other information

As a Technician Extreme Ultraviolet, you work in shifts: A support shift schedule consists of the early shift one week and a late shift the next week. You have a 4 day work week and are expected to work 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks

Please note: there is a possibility to travel, supporting machine installs worldwide, but this is limited to less than 10% of your time in this job!

What do we offer?

Contract wise:

• 2 year contract of 40 hours per week
• 25 paid holidays a year
• Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin
• Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paid each year in May
• Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly
• Travel allowance of €0,21 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home.
• The salary will be in the range of €3000-€5500 gross a month

Onboarding & benefits

• Your 1st house in the Netherlands will be arranged by Xelvin, with the help of our Housing Consultant. In case of having to pay the 1st months rent or potential deposit, Xelvin is willing to pay it for you upfront, after which we’ll set up a loan agreement, for you to pay us back in terms.
• Xelvin is certified to do VISA applications for you and your family, and get your work permit in order so you can travel and start working.
• A relocation assistance allowance of €3000 euro NET ( 2 years contract)will be paid to you, to cover the cost of relocating to the Netherlands.
• You (and your family) will be picked up at the airport or train station by your consultant/ recruiter after your arrival, and will be taken to your new house.
• Onboarding: we’ll advise you on how to set up a Dutch bank account, apply for health insurance, getting a Dutch BSN number, writing in with a dentist and general practitioner and other useful or necessary cases to arrange.
• New Hire Dinner organized for all newly recruited engineers to make them aware of our Dutch tax system and explaining the Dutch payslip.
• A few social gatherings with all Xelvin employees and recruited engineers;
• New Years drink at the local PSV stadium, where you’ll get a tour of the building and beverages and bites are served.
• Summer BBQ at the Evoluon, where you can grow your social circle and dance to some nice music while enjoying the food.
