MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To implement and maintain all relevant standards, statutory and regulatory requirements for the continuous improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Integrated Management.

Key Performance Areas:

• Coordinate, interpret, and implement all relevant Safety, Security, Health, Environment, Radiation (SSHER), and Quality statutory requirements, regulations, and standards.
• Review and provide guidance on Standard Operating Procedures and other system requirements in consultation with various departments.
• Recommend improvements to existing procedures and standardize forms required for the SHEQ Management System.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain company procedures and SHEQ management systems.
• Maintain and control system records and documentation within the SSHER Department.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate SHEQ management review meetings and monitoring measures.
• Assess the effectiveness of SHEQ Management System implementation and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate comprehensive internal and external IMS risk assessments and controls.
• Recommend appropriate remedial actions in collaboration with the SSHER Department.
• Coordinate SHEQ external audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience in establishing and implementing SHEQ Management Systems.
• Project management and auditing experience.
• Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of integrated management systems and models.
• Risk management knowledge and experience.
• Certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 19011 will be an advantage.
• Valid Code B or BE Driver’s License.
• Experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.
