PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To manage a vast range of fast-moving consumer goods for the company. To increase sales in the company and manage costs that may occur to create higher margins..

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets in existing product lines while maintaining or improving sales and merchandising standards set by the principal.
• Negotiate profitable deals on existing and new product lines with shop buyers.
• Negotiate discounts, shelf space, promotions, and gondola placements.
• Motivate merchandisers and provide training when required.
• Organise promotions by conducting the necessary negotiations.
• Sort, verify, and submit claims to expedite processing, and recommend reversals where required.
• Ensure stock rotation principles are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure products are correctly displayed at point of sale.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Grade 12 with three years’ experience in FMCG, or a Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
• Between 21 and 35 years of age.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Proficiency in an indigenous language will be a definite advantage.
• Ability to handle pressure and conflict situations.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding and working knowledge of Sales Maths.
• Reliable own transport (extensive travelling required).
• Valid passport and police clearance certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08).
• Namibian Citizenship.
