PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To effect payments of non-cash transactions by processing all creditors’ information, reconcile creditors’ balances to statement, affect all payment to creditors and file all creditors’ information in order to guarantee the management of creditors in line with company policy and procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Capture and process supplier payments accurately and timeously.
• Match purchase orders with invoices, requisitions, delivery notes, and GRVs.
• Perform supplier reconciliations.
• Submit monthly creditors’ reconciliations by predetermined deadlines.
• Process Accounts Payable invoices.
• Process and facilitate payments to creditors.
• Perform inter-company confirmations.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding queries and payments.
• Handle and resolve difficult situations and disputes with suppliers.
• Optimise available settlement discounts.
• Process and manage creditor claims.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12.
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Creditors Clerk or in a similar position within a financial environment.
