PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Assist the Crane Operator in the safe and correct discharging of all vessels by giving the correct hand signals

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Discharge and sort fish from vessels effectively, hygienically, and promptly.
• Clean vessels and supply bins and ice to prepare for return to sea.
• Ensure mooring ropes of vessels are properly secured.
• Assist the Crane Operator in moving vessels at the jetty and when required, support with taking vessels to and from the syncrolift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the jetty and surrounding areas.
• Pump water from vessels’ fish holds.
• Inspect discharge equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.

Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirement:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• One year of experience in basic Hand Signal Indication.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
