Introduction:

Woker Freight Services (Pty) Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer with offices based in Walvis Bay, Windhoek and Lüderitz. The Company is looking for a suitably qualified Operations Assistant for the branch operations based in Lüderitz.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that customs documents are released and collected on time
  • Arranging customs examinations
  • Customs payment
  • Keep customs acquittals and bond records updated
  • Submitting and collecting orders on time
  • Liaise with sub-contractors regarding the delivery/handling of cargo
  • Advise clients regarding the progress of dispatch
  • Deliver and collect air freight consignments to and from various entities
  • Oversee stowing and loading of products in the warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12
  • 1-2 years of freight, cargo, customs, and forwarding experience
  • Knowledge in the sea and air freight industry is an added advantage
  • Fully computer literate in E-mail and Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills are essential
  • Namibian citizen
