Job Description

Responsible for driving the development of new business opportunities / initiatives either for existing business units or in the process of setting up new business units.

Job Specification

• Monitor and assess sales and market data for a specific geographic region and produce reports to assist management in strategy formulation and identifying business development opportunities.
• Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; tailor presentations for decision-makers and influencers; ask relevant questions to evaluate customer interest and provide required information.
• Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to build relationships with decision-makers and enable effective two-way information flow and issue resolution.
• Develop a personal network within the sales territory; represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.
• Identify products or services that meet customer needs, propose quantities and configurations, explain selections, and invite purchase under standard terms and conditions.
• Monitor team members' use of the CRM system, resolve standard issues, and escalate as appropriate.
• Develop and implement a relationship management plan for existing customer accounts; collect feedback to ensure customer needs are met and recommend changes based on insights.
• Identify instances of noncompliance with policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes within the team; report and escalate as appropriate.
• Develop own capabilities via training, coaching, professional accreditation, and ongoing education; stay updated on technology, regulation, and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Namibian Citizenship
• Grade 12 with commercial or business-related subjects and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree (NQF L7) plus 1 year work experience in business management, sales, marketing, insurance, or financial services
• Clean criminal and credit check
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional image
• Good planning, organizing, and time-management skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Proactive and passionate about sales
• Outstanding networking skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter and team player
• Valid driver’s license; having a vehicle is an added advantage
