PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Responsible to lead a team of Key Account and Sales Managers to grow sales in compliance with CIC’s guidelines and standards of practice. To build a comprehensive strategic business plan, including specific, measurable, action oriented objectives in accordance with CIC’s current and future goals. Create a motivating environment for the team by ensuring clarity of purpose and aligning vision and strategic goals to the team’s role.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain supply efficiency to the trade above 93%.
  • Develop and manage the divisional operational budget.
  • Ensure actual sales performance aligns with departmental budgets.
  • Develop, present, and execute quarterly divisional business plans.
  • Identify trade-specific growth opportunities.
  • Manage funds and resources to maximise sales and return on investment.
  • Attract, develop, and manage Key Account Managers, Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, objectives, and performance metrics for team members.
  • Support team development through coaching, feedback, and recognition of achievements.
  • Develop in-depth business understanding across the division and enhance team effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing performance assessment and feedback to management teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with principals and ensure standards are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate and align principal business plans with divisional objectives.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and industry engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (Commercial, Operations, Procurement) to achieve brand goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of key enablers to meet customer needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG.
  • 3-year Degree in Sales and Marketing.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales Management role.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced understanding of sales mathematics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict effectively.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Own reliable transport and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/08).
  • Valid passport.
  • Namibian citizenship.
