PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To prepare all food timeously and in a tasteful manner, in accordance with standard operating procedures and recipes, in order to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Prepare specialities according to communicated planning schedules and the daily needs of the Coffee Shop.
• Ensure product quality meets the required standards and prepare customer orders timeously, following approved recipes and procedures.
• Provide speedy and effective service to customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with enquiries regarding products and their use.
• Drive operational and service standards by consistently practising PnP Service Qualities and maintaining sound stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, food safety, and health and safety standards in the Hot Pot & Deli Department.
• Ensure equipment is operated at the correct temperatures, cleaned after use, serviced as required, and switched off at close of business.
• Wear protective clothing in accordance with company policy and prepare for and attend stocktakes as scheduled, ensuring accurate stock counts.
• Perform reasonable additional duties and assist in other areas during periods of absence or operational need.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• Grade 10 Certificate / NQF Level 2.
• 4 years’ experience in food preparation.
• Grade 12 Certificate / NQF Level 4, 2 years’ experience in food preparation, and a Certificate in Food Preparation will be advantageous.
