Job Description:

This role is responsible for the end-to-end leadership, performance, and growth of the Private Clients and Private Wealth segments. Reporting to the Head of Personal and Private Banking, you will lead Private Banking teams to deliver a market-leading, truly differentiated client experience. You will be accountable for building a business that is recognised for unparalleled service, deep client relationships, and trusted advisory, positioning FNB as the preferred Private Banking partner for affluent and high-net-worth clients.

Are you someone who can:

• Lead and shape the strategy for Private Clients and Private Wealth, delivering sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership.
• Drive the Private Banking value proposition (CVP), influencing product design, pricing, service models, and processes.
• Engage and influence key stakeholders across the business (Analytics, Credit, Product, Channels) to ensure alignment and execution.
• Set and embed a standard of exceptional client service, focused on responsiveness, personalisation, and excellence.
• Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering accountability, ownership, and a client-first culture.
• Drive client acquisition, retention, and relationship deepening through holistic financial solutions.
• Manage and enhance the end-to-end client journey across all touchpoints.
• Collaborate across segments and functions to ensure alignment and consistent client experience.
• Oversee portfolio quality, risk, and governance, ensuring sound credit practices.
• Leverage data and insights to improve service delivery, client satisfaction, and business performance.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 8–10 years’ experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services leadership.
• Proven track record in leading high-performing teams and managing affluent/high-net-worth client portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional client experiences and building long-term relationships.
