The Company

Nampharm, a leading wholesaler and distributor of healthcare products, medical supplies and consumer goods in Namibia, has a vacancy for a: Product Manager (Buyer)


Overview:

The incumbent will manage assigned pharmaceutical and consumer-related products in line with Nampharm’s policies and SOPs, with monthly KPI-based reporting to the Procurement Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement and Inventory Management.
  • Knowledge of Namibian regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products (advantage).
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and cross-border documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Leadership ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management, logical reasoning, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good physical and mental condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procure registered drugs and other products while complying with local and international laws.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure better trade agreements and pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • Assist Warehouse and Telesales teams with product queries.
  • Manage stock portfolio: monitor levels, place orders, check expired and excess stock, and ensure price accuracy.
  • Provide Telesales with product information and expected arrival dates.
  • Liaise with medical representatives and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
