PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Responsible for financial reporting and up keeping of Internal control.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Compile management accounts for different divisions by summarising the trial balance
• Make provision for forecasting expenses
• Scrutinise all increases and decreases in stock levels
• Reconcile all VAT accounts and complete VAT Returns as per laid down standards
• Post all relevant accounting entries into the system
• Analyse all operational costs and take proactive action regarding accounting records
• Assist with creditors reconciliations as required
• Ensure audit files are kept updated for auditing purposes
• Approve all payments and EFTs
• Perform other relief duties or ad hoc tasks as requested by the Finance Director
• Perform other relief duties or ad hoc tasks as required by the Manager

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

• Grade 12 with good passes in Accounting plus a 4-year Degree in Finance and Accounting
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English
• Experience in accounting up to trial balance
• Experience in auditing
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent accounting skills and a high level of accuracy
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and organisational abilities
• Shows initiative and drive
• Leadership and interpersonal skills with strong negotiation ability
• High stress tolerance and willingness to work long hours
• Valid police clearance certificate
• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08, PDP)
