Introduction:

The Company is looking for a suitably qualified Clearing & Forwarding Coordinator for its operations based in Windhoek. The successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and logistics. The ability to excel in communication and problem-solving, along with managing documentation and efficiently coordinating between all stakeholders. Proficiency in relevant software and a proactive approach to handling challenges swiftly are also essential..

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Freight Management: Arranging and coordinating the shipment and transportation of goods, both domestically and internationally.
• Attending to customer sales & queries.
• Customs Clearance: Liaison with Customs, Port, forwarding agents and other related Authorities to facilitate the efficient clearance of goods at ports of entry or exit.
• Framing of Customs Bill of Entries for both Import, export, and transit
• Maintain WFS customs bond, WIP and dormant entries
• Record keeping and reporting: maintain accurate records of import/ export transactions and all administrative requirements, i.e. shipping documents, customs declarations, quoting, invoicing, and daily communication.
• Finance Management: Budget/Revenue Management. and Cash and Debtors Management.
• Customer Liaison: Ensure regular communication and coordination with customers to address their needs and queries while maintaining a high standard of customer relations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO/SHEQ/FIA regulations and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge in sea, road, and air freight industry
• 3-5 years freight, cargo, customs and forwarding experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects would be an advantage.
• A degree in logistics is an added advantage.
• Computer literacy is essential (MS Office, EDI CargoWise Enterprise)
• Knowledge of the Customs computer systems; Asycuda World, CSS, and cargo online tracking
• Grade 12 certificate
• Namibian citizen
• Code 8 driver’s license
