Are you a visionary leader with a passion for education and a track record in strategic management? The Namibia Qualification Authority (NQA) is searching for a dynamic individual to fill the role of:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To lead the operations and activities in respect of the qualifications department focusing on evaluations of qualifications and standard setting by finalising recommendations in order to maintain and continuously develop the National Qualifications Framework.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree Honours/Professional bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 8) in the area of Human Development or Education. (All foreign qualifications should be accompanied by an evaluation report by NQA).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Six (6) years’ experience in the field of evaluation of qualification and standards setting, of which two (2) years should be at an executive managerial level.
• Experience in the field of education and quality assurance is essential.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Participation in assigned projects in support of the NQF development and implementation and other NQA objectives.
• Enhance quality assurance, by way of having standards critiqued.
• Lead and inform the NQF Registration process

MAIN KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Departmental business planning and management
• Lead qualification registrations
• Liaise with stakeholders to achieve standard setting
• Lead Standards Development
• Lead NQF Registrations
• Manage data integrity on the database
• Customer Service
• Reporting
