What will you do?

The successful candidate will be required to efficiently and effectively administer all New Business submitted, client after care admin requests. Whilst doing effective record keeping of submitted, accepted, returned and declined new business and admin. Providing timely and professional feedback to intermediaries or within the department


What will make you successful in this role?

  • Quote and upload applications along with supporting documentation.
  • Identify and request any outstanding requirements from intermediaries/clients.
  • Scan and upload requirements received upon request.
  • Create and prepare files for clients.
  • Arrange for medical appointments as needed.
  • Provide effective client service to stakeholders.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews.
  • Request tax and contribution certificates.
  • Perform accurate and timely investigations and provide feedback on intermediary and stakeholder queries.
  • Proactively manage lapses.
  • Communicate requirements and follow-ups professionally and clearly.
  • Maintain policies accurately and up-to-date.
  • Prepare quotation alterations and upload supporting documentation.
  • Identify and request any outstanding requirements from intermediaries and internal staff.
  • Submit maintenance alteration requests on policies.
  • Prepare import Excel sheets for scheme retirement policy increases.
  • Generate portfolio slips for all completed requests.
  • Demonstrate excellent administrative skills.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping practices.
  • Identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Identify process gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Prepare quote packages using Sanquote or Office Quote.
  • Verify data captured against documentation submitted.
  • Identify and request any outstanding FIA source documentation for entities.
  • Report any discrepancies to management and the compliance department.

Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Business Administration will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in Insurance industry, New Business and Administration environment

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent English (verbal & written) language skills
  • One Local Namibian language will be a competitive advantage.
  • Good product and system knowledge will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Sanlam’s support services and administration processes
  • Intermediate administration, recording keeping and data management
  • Basic Mathematics calculations will be required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Company’s software, TE, Sanport, Sanfin
