PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To prepare the General Ledger up to Annual Financial Statements of the allocated Properties portfolio. This includes the monitoring of debtors, creditors and cash flow to support the O&L group and as required by the Group Finance department.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform and review bank reconciliations.
  • Monthly Broll trust account reconciliations.
  • Complete and upload returns on ITAS.
  • Monthly variance analysis for income & expenses.
  • Processing of creditor and debtor invoices.
  • Review of creditors reconciliations and payments.
  • Monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monthly GL reconciliations.
  • Loading of income and expense budgets on an annual basis.
  • Assist in drafting of annual budgets.
  • Custodian of the utilities process (processing, payment, reporting, and recoveries).
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide the necessary information.
  • Attend property, trustee, and landlord meetings monthly as required.
  • Prepare annual financial statements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting with a minimum of 2-3 years Financial Accounting experience.
  • Computer literate (MS Office & Systems).
  • SAP knowledge will be advantageous.
