Job Description:

Apply Risk Management processes within the area of responsibility

Are you someone who can:

• Attend executive committee and board meetings and any other relevant forums/meetings.
• Provide Monthly / Quarterly Reporting to various governance forums.
• Engage with the regulator regarding industry forums and regulatory correspondence.
• Assist with any regulatory correspondence, returns at the request from business.
• Conduct compliance risk management including risk identification and assistance documenting risk universe and risk management plans.
• Provide guidance and assist with requirements on changed or new risk tools.
• Oversee the effective use of risk tools and monitor their effectiveness for the business.
• Assist with preparation and analyses of reports for tabling at various Risk Committees.
• Scrutinize risk reports submitted by the branch/business unit and ensure reporting and tools are in line.
• Ensure data integrity, data structures, and business line mappings are correct.
• Provide guidance and input on training, including provision of ad-hoc training where and when required.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• Minimum qualification: Relevant Commercial or Law Degree, a post graduate degree in Commerce or Law as an added advantage.
• Minimum 3- 5 years in a Risk and/or Compliance environment of which 1-2 years ideally at a middle management level
• Insurance and financial services sector experience will be an added advantage.
