Job Specification

• Prioritise, plan, and execute forensic and fraud investigations with minimum supervision, including identifying key findings and recommendations, complete and accurate identification of risk and control breakdowns, and proposing practical proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate and complete evidentiary material and information of forensic and fraud investigations to support findings on the electronic case management system.
• Draft reports with findings and recommendations for business management consideration.
• Follow up to ensure all agreed recommendations are effectively implemented in business.
• Conduct Fraud Risk Assessments and provide outcomes in the appropriate reporting format.
• Provide relevant and ongoing Fraud Risk Awareness training.
• Manage business relationships independently, including providing regular feedback to business.
• Collaborate effectively with others to achieve results.
• Assist the Business Unit to assess the maturity of their Internal Control environment by providing assurance on control breaks/gaps remediated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Namibian citizenship.
• 3-year qualification or equivalent in a forensic and fraud-related field such as policing, law, auditing, or risk management.
• 3 years relevant work experience is preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of the financial services industry, criminal law, labour law, and specific technical requirements.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be an advantage.
• Experience in data and business process analysis with Power BI and/or Tableau will be an advantage.
• Experience in validity assessment of insured benefit claims is advantageous.
• Strong forensic and fraud investigative and technical skills.
• Ability to engage at the right level to obtain business context during forensic and fraud investigations.
• Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal and team results.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Solution-driven, passionate, and energetic.
• Good interpersonal skills, including influencing skills.
• Self-starter, able to show initiative and work with minimal guidance.
• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communicator with a flawless command of the English language, with strong reporting and presentation skills.
