About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead: Networking and Security to oversee and manage or Networking and Security Department.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of all systems.

Job Description:

• Lead a small team of networking engineers
• Design, implement, and maintain core network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WWAN, VPN, Firewalls, etc.)
• Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and standards
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
• Consult on networking solutions and provide technical pre-sales support to customers
• Perform risk assessments and oversee mitigation plans
• Provide regular reports to senior management on network performance and security incidents
• Plan and execute network and security audits
• Mentor and train team members, building a strong and resilient department

Minimum Requirement:

• Namibian Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in networking and security roles
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.)
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet FCP/NSE4 is a requirement
• Cisco Meraki and Ubiquity certification will be an advantage
• Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM) will be an advantage
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills
